Project Profile: Check Print Cheque Designer
We Got a Pulse! were approached by our friendly mutual web and print design agency: Verto. Verto often approach We Got a Pulse! to outsource exciting Flash projects to get their teeth into.
WGAP! were asked to produce a Flash animated interactive system for users to customise their personal cheques for ‘The Tall Group of Companies – Check Print’. The Tall Group of Companies was founded in 1991 and 1993 respectively and are the UK’s leading provider of Business Cheques, Credits and Secure encoded Document Solutions.
One of the specialist features on the site was the ability to allow users to design their own company cheques online. The concept allows users to navigate through a step-by-step process including the ability to:
- Enter company details i.e. name and address
- Choose a selection of templates
- Choose an example logo and manipulate font types and colours
- Choose a personalised watermark pattern from a selection of 6 in 5 colours
- Create various output options such as print a sample or submit a preview to Tall Group.
Whilst manipulating each step, the cheque is previewed in large on the site in real-time, also providing the user with detailed instructions in how best to create their cheque. It was important that the interactive piece was as user-friendly as possible, which was encapsulated in a tab system, as well as easily navigatable arrows allowing the user to jump from the previous and next step with ease. The piece also had to fit in perfectly with the existing Tall Group of Companies site.
