It’s coming to that time of the year again. The supermarkets are in overdrive and all the Christmas classics are banging out on the radio. We’ve been up to our geeky eyeballs over here at WGAP. Taking on some very large projects that you should be able to feast your eyes on in the coming months. All very exciting stuff.

As you can see, we’ve now launched version 3 of the We Got a Pulse! website. It’s a significant change on the last one, which was ever-so moody but sleek. We’ve gone a bit brighter now, to reflect how friendly we really are and have opted to use a blog engine so that we can frequently and easily make updates to the site to let you know what’s going on at our HQ.
We’ve also got some new digs in central town near Brighton station at Floor 6, 3 Alexandra Villas, Brighton, BN1 3RE. Hand-in-hand with that is our new freephone number, so you can chat to us any time on 0800 6125 711.
Our logo has also had a little update, which is a bit more self-contained now and should be a little more convenient in various contexts. We’ve also changed our slogan to ‘Demand. Nothing. Less.’ It’s pretty self-explanatory. We strive for nothing less than perfection. Most of the time, that’s on our own terms! Even when the client is happy, we still ensure that projects live up to our own personal standards, we’re just picky like that!

Godfrey Investments wanted the full works in terms of print, and we were ready to give it to them. Check out the bits we made for them below:
We love a little trip up to Maidstone, so we were delighted when trendy salon So Hairdressing asked us to come up and film a promotional movie for the new website we were building. They wanted something a bit stylish, fast-paced and immersive to capture the vibe in the salon. Here’s what we came up with:

Godfrey Investments wanted a logo which accentuated the ‘O’, representing their 360 degree service brand. The 360 degree symbolises their involvement in the complete life cycle of one of their properties. From finding the land, designing the property, building it, selling/renting it and maintaining it. Godfrey produce high-end properties at affordable prices, and wanted the type to be solid and robust, whilst seeming trendy and stylish at the same time. Here are some concept ideas that we came up with:
Upon delivery of the logo to Godfrey, the logo has been seen on:
- Football ground sponsor boards
- Business Cards
- Scaffolding canvases
We don’t often listen to classical music in the office, but once Bright Artist Management got in contact with us, we were all pleasing our ears with the sounds of Elysium III. A female trio of classical singers, who were spotted at the Classical Brits last year, are sure to make the big time with the release of their debut album ‘La Bella Sinfonia’ (that’s ‘Beloved Symphony’ for the few of you who don’t speak Italian). To mark the launch of the album, we were approached to produce the official Elysium III website, complete with photo galleries, music samples from the new album, biographies, Twitter feeds and the rest of it.
Thankfully, some assets of the girls looking lovely, allowed us to produce a very elegant design which the client was very happy with. Be sure to check them out as well as the site!
This was a competitive project to obtain, but we were confident in our pitch that we’d win the work. ETS Partnership were after a redesign after they’d grown out of their previous site. They wanted to jazz things up a bit with a movie on the homepage, as well as slideshows throughout the site. They asked for a breakdown of all the sectors they cover and wanted to make sure they start interacting with existing and potential clients through social networking.
Sure enough, they got everything they asked for, including a handy Twitter feed and Facebook page.
The family over at BrightAI approached us with a nice little project for their client Steve Jackson, co-author of the popular Fighting Fantasy Sorcery book series. They’d been approached to produce an iPhone version of the book and decided to outsource the intro movie of the application to us. We happily obliged, as we are partial to a bit of video editing and design. The brief was for it to run in a similar vein to the Marvel Comics movie intro you see before feature films. Yet using artwork from the books to convey a darker, more medieval feel to it. We feel that we achieved this, and BAI, as well as Steve Jackson were delighted with the end product.

The ‘fellas over at Higar were ready to leave our first design behind, which had served them a good 4 years, and go for something a bit more cutting edge. The site was to become a lot more refined and clear in terms of page titles for the user. They wanted a new colour scheme as well, introducing a touch of green to bounce off the metallic look on the site. A lovely slideshow to welcome the user was implemented, and with the site requiring minimal updates, a CMS was scrapped in further of scheduled maintenance updates from ourselves. Dave Hicks Golf are one of our longest running clients. So when they asked to produce a microsite for one of their state-of-the-art fitting tools, we said: “No problem!”. This was to give customers a better insight to DHG’s flagship product: The DH Pro Fit Tool. They wanted something quite clean with a few simple pages that they would get updated as and when without a CMS. Some key features they wanted were testimonials and a run-down of all the packages that they offer. It’s a pretty impressive piece of kit and we believe the website reflects this.
