Project Profile: So Hairdressing Website
Having designed, built and maintained the original So Hairdressing website, we were re-approached by the guys at So for a little (web) makeover. They wanted, something a bit slicker and darker, as well as a content management system to keep their stylish customers up to date with new staff, products, news and special offers. The new site is now up and running and we love it.
Project Profile: Godfrey Investment Website
We’ve recently completed work on the Godfrey investments website. Godfrey are a locally run company who develop residential, commercial properties as well as community projects. Godfrey are an exciting client who intend on taking a fresh approach to advertising throughout the Brighton and Hove City centre. The website will be used to showcase recent and upcoming property developments by Godfrey as well as give clients a chance to get to know who they’re dealing with on a personal level. Further builds to the website are scheduled as their portfolio grows.
Project Profile: Maids With Care Branding
We got a call one day from Maids With Care, asking for a logo for their new cleaning company. The brief was very specific: a pair of hands cupping a home, using simple lines. Et voila! The Maids With Care face was born.
Project Profile: Gonjasufi Website
On a bleary-eyed Monday morning, Warp Records got in touch and asked us to develop an interesting flash concept website for the rapper/singer/DJ and Yoga teacher Gonjasufi. Born in San Diego, California, he has been releasing music since the early 1990s among the San Diego Hip Hop scene, notably with the Masters of the Universe crew. We like Hip Hop and we like Warp Records, so we said: “YES!” The site was pre-designed, so Warp came to us for their Flash needs. The site is built on a wordpress engine, but also feeds in content from Gonjasufi’s various social networks. So anything he Tweets, he says which is ideal as the site can be found at www.sufisays.com.
Project Profile: YY Design Branding
YY Design approached We Got a Pulse! for a full branding package as well as a website. WGAP! love creating logos and this one was no different. The client asked for a smart logo, all text based that would stand out well on the base of their dark and sleek look website.
After a few renditions, the logo was complete and nestled perfectly on the new website to the client’s satisfaction.
Project Profile: Love to Go Out Microsite
Love to Go Out is an internal project taken on by We Got a Pulse! based on the previous venture ‘Wasted Education’. The concept has been rebranded and completely overhauled as a social networking website based on nightlife in the UK. It is an extemely advanced directory offering users, in particularly a core target audience of students, a deep insight into appropriate nightlife venues suited for them.
In order to generate interest as well as a userbase before launch, Love to Go Out registered a promotional stall at the Sussex University Refresher’s Fair on the 27th January 2009. This was an opportunity to create brand awareness through marketing as well as through word of mouth. As the site was in development at the time, a temporary microsite was produced in time for the fair, which allowed users to:
- Become informed of the features Love to Go Out have to offer through an exciting promotional video showreel
- Sign up to the mailing list whilst simutaneously entering a competition to win prizes
- Inform users when the launch date is
The fair proved to be a massive success with several hundred students registering their interest in the site and entering the mailing list, whilst pitting themselves into the current competition.
Project Profile: YY Design Website
We Got a Pulse! were approached to produce a website for established salon interior designers YY Design. After producing a quality website for John Newman Hairdressing, the salon designers for JNH took notice and came to WGAP! to design their own website.
The brief asked for a simplistic yet stylish black theme that would make imagery jump off of the page. Which it almost literally does, through the 3D Flash carousel technique used on the homepage. This showcases some of YY Design’s best works, which can be viewed in full on the portfolio page. The portfolio displays all 18 of YY Design’s salons that they have designed and conveys them in all their glory.
A couple of other services were neatly included in the YY Design website, including the new YY Designs logo that WGAP! were requested to produce, as well as the beautiful photography that was produced to display the John Newman Hairdressing salon.
The YY Design website is the perfect outlet to display their previous works as well as to create new business by detailing their services and offering a point of contact for new sales.
Project Profile: Love to Go Out Marketing Package
To go in tandem with the rest of the Love to Go Out launch promotional push, We Got a Pulse! produced an arsenal of marketing literature and material for the Refresher’s Fair on the 27th January 2009 at Sussex University. WGAP! ensured that the promotional stall was attractive as well as inviting for students to approach by giving out free goody bags fun-filled with all things Love to Go Out.
The marketing material consisted of:
- Eco-friendly plastic bags
- 2 x Roller Banners
- A3 Posters
- Door Hangers
- 2 x Double-sided A6 Flyers
- Business Cards
- Letterheads
- Pens
- Badges
- T- Shirts
All of these elements combined, conveyed an extremely professional approach and character for the face of Love to Go Out. To get your hands on some of these goodies including a lollipop, be sure to see Love to Go Out at various university fairs across the UK come September 2009.
Project Profile: Love to Go Out Promotional Trailer
We Got a Pulse! worked tirelessly to produce a microsite in time for the Refresher’s Fair at Sussex University on the 27th January 2009. In order to inform users of all of Love to Go Out’s features as well as an exclusive competition they are holding, a full promotional trailer was released to showcase the site.
The trailer incorporates 3D titles, screen captured footage which has been manipulated in a 3D environment as well as original raw footage, all entwined in a fast-paced and upbeat style.
With the website being in its preliminary stages, there wasn’t much to work from, however WGAP! still did a great job of creating an exciting showreel that keeps users entertained as well as gets them motivated for the launch of Love to Go Out.

Project Profile: Artifex Videos
Artifex are world renowned for their extremely unique hose convoluting and assembly techniques, as well as their outstanding efficiency in the industry. So what better way to demonstrate their processes than to include videos on their website of:
- Braid production
- Hose production
- Hose Assembly
Artifex called upon We Got a Pulse!’s Digital Video services to best display Artifex and the way they work. WGAP! worked on location at the Artifex factory in Cranleigh, Surrey for the day to film the intricacies of the hose and braid processes, as well as to display the epic scale of their stock. Once this was completed, WGAP! worked with Artifex to edit and treat the footage to a stylised concept, which WGAP! then integrated into the existing website. The Hose and Braid videos can be seen here, and the Assembly video can be seen here.
